Vera

Lavendels Vera RATS Retired from Breeding

Vera earned her third Barn Hunt title: Senior level "RATS"

Vera has grown into a beautiful girl.  She is 16 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 27 pounds.  Vera's OFA hip results are, "good" and her OFA elbows show no signs of dysplasia OFA Results.  Her PennHip results were also good.  Her eyes have been checked per CERF and found to be healthy.  They are rechecked yearly.  Vera is sweet, obedient, and listens well to directions.  She helps on the farm with sheep and horses.  She absolutely LOVES to swim, anywhere, anytime!

Recently, Vera tried Lure Coursing.  The people running it said she "was very keen"

A word about Vera's tail set.  When Vera was a baby, she had a perfectly curled tail (see the picures below).  As she grew, when Laki and she would wrestle, Laki would always grab her by the tail.  At some point, her tail stopped curling correctly.  We believe this is due to an injury, rather than genetic.  See next photo for how she holds her tail when she is working:
